gyeongbokgung station, exit 5) is one of the grandest of the royal palaces in seoul, and showcases a lot of the korean traditional architecture. a ticket costing 3,000W can be bought at the entrance and will allow entry to the palace, the national palace museum and national folk museum.

changing of guards ceremony

daily (except tues), there is also the changing of guards ceremony at gwanghuamun, which is accessible via gyeongbokgung. it lasts for about 15 minutes and is worth a visit! there are specific timings though, so it'd be good to find this out before heading down
